Initiatives

Cultural Exchanges

Cultural exchange is at the heart of building understanding, respect, and cooperation between communities. By sharing traditions, stories, and creative expressions, people from different backgrounds discover both the richness of diversity and the values that connect us all.

Through our initiatives, we create spaces where cultures can meet, learn, and grow together. Examples include:

  • Cooking Workshops – where participants learn to prepare traditional dishes from different countries.

  • Film Screenings & Discussions – showcasing international cinema followed by conversations about culture and perspective.

  • Craft & Handicraft Exhibitions – presenting traditional techniques such as weaving, pottery, or calligraphy.

  • Cultural Exchange Trips – offering immersive experiences where participants live, learn, and volunteer within another community.

Integration Support

Starting a new life in Denmark can be challenging, and we are here to make the journey easier. Our integration support focuses on two main areas: language learning and education guidance.

We are proud to offer Danish language courses taught by some of the best retired teachers, who now volunteer their time and expertise. Their dedication ensures that every learner feels supported while gaining both communication skills and cultural understanding.

We also provide educational consultation to help migrants navigate the Danish school and university system, recognize previous qualifications, and explore new learning opportunities.

Our mission is simple: to give newcomers the tools they need to build confidence, continue their education, and create a strong future in Denmark.

Our Workshops

Our workshops are spaces for learning, creativity, and connection. They bring people together to share skills, discover new interests, and build friendships across cultures.

We offer a wide variety of activities, including:

  • Dance – enjoy movement and rhythm from different traditions.

  • Computer – improve digital skills for everyday life and work.

  • Cooking – learn and share recipes from around the world.

  • Music – explore instruments and creative expression through sound.

  • Arts & Crafts – create with your hands using traditional and modern techniques.

Each workshop is open to everyone — whether you are trying something new or developing a passion, you’ll find a welcoming space to learn and grow.

Hand in Hand

Starting life in a new country is never easy. From finding your way around the city to understanding cultural habits, the first days can feel overwhelming. Hand in Hand is our initiative to make this journey warmer, easier, and more welcoming.

Through this project, every newcomer is connected with a local partner. The local offers guidance with everyday tasks, introduces the newcomer to community life, and provides a friendly hand to hold during those important first steps.

But Hand in Hand is more than practical support — it’s about building real friendships and mutual understanding. While newcomers learn about life in Denmark, locals also gain fresh perspectives and the joy of sharing their culture. Together, they create a bridge that makes integration meaningful and human.
